Privacy Policy
隐私政策
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Period Log ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is secure. This App is designed with privacy as a core principle, and we do not collect, store, or share your personal data without your explicit consent, except as described in this policy.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Period Log is designed to operate without collecting any personal information from you. We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any identifying information to use the App. We do not collect:
- Personal identification information (such as name, address, phone number)
- Contact information (such as email address, social media accounts)
- Location data
- Device identifiers (such as IMEI, MAC address)
- Usage data (such as app usage patterns, feature interactions)
- Health data (except as stored locally on your device)
All data entered into the App remains stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties unless you explicitly choose to share it (e.g., via email export).
3. Information Stored on Your Device
When you use Period Log, all data you input (including but not limited to menstrual cycle dates, symptoms, fertility signs, and notes) is stored locally on your mobile device. This data is encrypted at rest using the device's built-in security features, such as iOS Keychain or Android Keystore, depending on your platform. You retain full control over this data, and it can only be accessed through the App on your device.
The types of data stored locally may include:
- Menstrual cycle start and end dates
- Flow intensity and related symptoms
- Fertility indicators (e.g., basal body temperature, cervical mucus)
- Notes and custom entries
- App settings and preferences
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Your data remains strictly on your device unless you choose to share it through the following voluntary actions:
- Data Export: The App may allow you to export your data (e.g., as a CSV or PDF file) and share it via email or other communication channels. This is done at your sole discretion, and we are not responsible for how third parties handle this exported data.
- Technical Support: If you contact us for technical support, you may choose to share screenshots or data excerpts to help resolve issues. This information is used solely for troubleshooting and is not stored or used for any other purpose.
We may be required to disclose information if compelled by law, court order, or government regulation, but we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of such requests unless prohibited by law.
5. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. Since all data is stored locally on your device, we recommend that you take the following precautions to protect your information:
- Set a secure passcode or biometric authentication (e.g., Touch ID, Face ID) for your device
- Enable automatic device backups (e.g., iCloud, Google Drive) to prevent data loss
- Keep your device's operating system and the App updated to the latest versions
While we implement industry-standard security measures within the App, no method of data storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data stored on your device, as it is subject to the security measures you have in place on your device.
6. Children's Privacy
Period Log is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we become aware that a child under 13 has used the App, we will take steps to delete any data associated with that use.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the bottom of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
8. Contact Us
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or the App's data practices, please contact us at: jingqiriji4639@163.com
9. Third-Party Services
Period Log may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as Apple's App Store or customer support tools. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can:
- View and edit your data at any time through the App
- Export your data in supported formats
- Delete your data by uninstalling the App or using the "Clear Data" feature within the App
- Restrict access to the App using device-level security features
If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data may be deleted, depending on your device settings. We recommend exporting your data before uninstalling if you wish to retain it.
11. International Data Transfers
Since your data is stored locally on your device, it is subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where your device is located. If you travel with your device or move to another country, your data will remain on your device and will be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We do not transfer your data across international borders, as it never leaves your device.
12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where you reside, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
